Marti Gonzalez-Rodriguez.

Dr. Gonzalez-Rodriguez is a researcher and consultant on Usability Engineering and Web Design strategy. He is currently an associated professor in the Department of Computer Science of the University of Oviedo and an independent consultant in the ANEP (Spanish Assessment and Planning Agency).

He was co-founder of the ICWE (International Conference on Web Engineering). He collaborates in the scientific board of several research journals such as the IEEE Multimedia, IEEE Software, the Computer Journal or the International Journal of Web Engineering and Technology (IJWET). He also participatesd in the program committees of academic conferences like the International Network Conference or the International Conference on Information Technology.

His research work has been awarded several times, including the ASPAYM Research Award on Accessible Information Technologies for Handicapped users, the Vodafone Research Award on Mobile Technology, the ONCE Research and Development Award and the TAW Award on Web Accessibility.

He works on the development of a new design framework called Augmented Accessibility. This concept combines advanced technologies such as gestural interaction, voice recognition and augmented reality to improve the usability and accessibility of software used in ambient intelligence scenarios by handicapped users.
